About the Owners
Cale and Jacquie are a young couple that share a passion of loving old homes. Born and raised in small town Montana, they spent their life savings and moved to New England to take on the restoration of the Jarvis Homestead. This special and historic home was neglected, worn, and not given the love it deserved for many years. Their goal was not to change this house into just another rental property or “AirBnb”, but to bring back a local piece of history, make sure it continues to be a part of the Ellsworth community, and something for all locals and tourists to enjoy.
After 3 years of hard work, care, and a deep love for this house and community, they have brought it back to life, preserving its original charm while adding the comforts of modern living. Friends, family, and local tradesmen have pitched in as well, which has been a true testament to the small town community way of life.
Cale and Jacquie spend most of their winters living at the house keeping up on maintenance (which never ends), enjoying beautiful Ellsworth and the surrounding area, hiking around the Downeast, and enjoying all that this area of Maine has to offer. Welcome to the Jarvis Homestead, and we hope you enjoy their beautiful passion project!
