Hear From Our Guests
“If we could give a 11/10, we would! This whole experience was PERFECT. Great communication with the owners, easy check in, perfect location, and true New England home to host all of our guests. The photos depict the home very well. We were impressed that the owners have kept the charm of the home...and updating things like the backyard propane fire pit and sitting area. We really enjoyed this stay and look forward to booking next year.”

“Loved this house! The elegance of a bygone era and extremely livable for a large gathering. Many bedrooms make it easy to find exactly what is needed for each, and lots of gathering spaces on the main level, both large and small, are perfect for interacting with friends and family. Kitchen is well stocked! Outdoor area is private, away from the road. Town of Ellsworth is within walking distance with cute shops and restaurants. Easy drive to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor for further exploration. Would return to Jarvis Homestead again and again. Loved it!”

“The pictures looked amazing and set an expectation, but the house somehow FAR exceeded those expectations and gave us an experience beyond what we thought it was going to be. It was extremely roomy, felt very cozy and homey, and gave us so much communal space to do group activities as well as private spaces for those of us who had work. Not to mention the incredible amount of amenities that made the place extremely comfortable, more so than any other place we’ve ever stayed in the past. If I were to come back with the same group or a whole different one, I would recommend Cale’s place first for the trip.”
